Brisbane South Wildcats Netball

The Brisbane South Region is a non-profit, volunteer-run organisation that exists to provide opportunities to develop netball athletes, coaches and administrators within the region. Formed in 2002, Brisbane South Wildcats was developed to promote the highest standards of netball development by educating the Brisbane South Regional community, promoting opportunities and encouraging effective communication between its member associations and other groups with similar interests within the Region.

Brisbane South Region consists of seven Netball Queensland Member Associations

Macgregor Netball Association, Logan City Netball Association, Underwood Park Netball Association, Shailer Park Netball Association, Jimboomba Netball Association, Beenleigh Netball Association, Beaudesert Netball Association

These seven member associations have a combined membership of over 4 500 players and administrators who are involved or share an interest in netball development.

Brisbane South Wildcats has three teams who compete in the Queensland Netball State League each year.

Queensland State Netball League

The Samsung Queensland State Netball League (QSNL) is the state’s premier netball competition, featuring the best athletes and providing a launching pad for future elite netballers and officials. The competition is contested weekly across three divisions and provides a direct pathway to state underage, City v Country and Queensland Fusion representative honours.

Division 1 is the premier division of QSNL competition

Featuring the state’s elite netballers and providing a launching point for further senior representative honours. Six teams compete in a weekly competition, with the top four playing off for the championship.

Division 2 provides development opportunities for netballers, umpires, coaches and officials and is made up of two conferences – City and Country.

New to Samsung QSNL in 2017, the under 19 competition provides the next generation of Queensland netball stars the chance to hone their skills before moving into elite level competition.
